The world premiere of Nicky Silver's play THIS DAY FORWARD will open Vineyard Theatre's 2016-2017 season with previews beginning on Thursday, November 3 and opening on Monday, November 21.

Shattered Globe Theatre is pleased to announce the first two productions of its 2016-17 Season, kicking off this fall with a revival of Pulitzer Prize winner Sam Shepard's quintessential American drama TRUE WEST, directed by James Yost. The production will feature Shattered Globe Ensemble Members Joseph Wiens, Kevin Viol and Rebecca Jordan with Rob Frankel.  

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today the complete cast for Erika Sheffer's The Fundamentals, a smart and searing look at America's corporate culture through the story of a Manhattan hotel maid with higher aspirations. Directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov, the cast features ensemble members Alana Arenas (Millie), Caroline Neff (Stellan) and Alan Wilder (Abe) with Audrey Francis(Eliza) and Armando Riesco (Lorenzo). Peyankov and Sheffer last collaborated on Steppenwolf's 2014 Chicago premiere of Russian Transport, which also featured ensemble member Alan Wilder. Continuing the fight to achieve gender parity in the American Theater, LA-based playwright/producer collective THE KILROYS has released its third annual list of industry-recommended new plays.

Steep Theatre Company has announced the programming for its upcoming 16th season, which continues the company's tradition of presenting bold plays from today's most exciting playwrights, brought to life by fearlessly honest ensembles and visionary directors. Season 16 will feature a world premiere from Chicago playwright Alex Lubischer, a U.S. premiere from Olivier Award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett, a U.S. premiere from rising English playwright Cordelia Lynn, and a Midwest premiere from California-based playwright Lauren Yee. Steep Ensemble Members and Jeff Award-winning directors Robin Witt and Jonathan Berry will helm two of the productions, to be joined by two guest directors.

The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Executive Producer Lauren Weigel, has announced casting for the New York premiere of Christopher Chen's Caught (August 17-September 17), the final production in the company's 15th Anniversary Season. The stellar cast includes Jennifer Lim (Chinglish), Murphy Guyer (The King & I),Louis Ozawa Changchien (The Bourne Legacy) and Leslie Fray.

The Drama Book Shop, now celebrating its 99th year, will welcome playwright Paula Vogel and director Rebecca Taichman, the creative forces behind Indecent, for a discussion about the play. The event will take place on Friday, June 10th at 5:00PM. It is free to the public. Forward Flux Productions has announced the cast for the West Coast premiere of THE WEDDING GIFT by Chisa Hutchinson, and the world premiere of THE SUMMER HOUSE by Sarah Bernstein.  For the second year in a row, Forward Flux will present two new plays in the same theatre, allowing audiences to choose one, or see both in one night with show times at 7pm and 9pm.  Each play runs around 80mins and has no intermission (as it should be).

The Hub Theatre announced their 2016-17 season today. Featuring a brand new play by Hub's Artistic Director, and the DC Area debut of playwright Christopher Chen. Season 9 also see's the return of Philip Dawkins, who's FAILURE: A LOVE STORY wowed audiences at The Hub in 2014.
