In response to popular demand, The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Interim Managing Director, Robert G. Bradshaw, extends the New York premiere of Christopher Chen's Caught to September 24, the final production in the company's 15th Anniversary Season

Vineyard Theatre, one of the nation's leading nonprofit theatre companies has announced today that Executive Producer/CEO Jennifer Garvey-Blackwell, who has been a key member of the company's leadership team for almost 20 years, has decided to depart at the end of September 2016 to pursue new career opportunities.

Signature Theatre will host TheatreFest NYC on Tuesday, August 30, from 12pm to 4pm at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). This free open house is for students who are interested in learning more about New York's non-profit theatres.

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for its world-premiere production of Miss You Like Hell, book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegria Hudes (In the Heights, Water by the Spoonful), music and lyrics by acclaimed singer/songwriter Erin McKeown, directed by Lear deBessonet (Public Theatre's The Odyssey) and choreographed by Danny Mefford (Broadway's Fun Home). Commissioned by the Playhouse and developed during the 2016 DNA New Work Series, the production has been extended by one week, now running October 25 - December 4 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre. Vineyard Theatre will present three readings of new works in September exclusively for members of the 2016-2017 season.

Tickets are now available for Forward Flux's productions of THE WEDDING GIFT by Chisa Hutchinson (West Coast premiere), and THE SUMMER HOUSE by Sarah Bernstein (World premiere), playing September 20th - October 8th at Gay City Arts (517 E Pike St, Seattle, WA 98122). For the second year in a row, Forward Flux will present two new plays in the same theatre, allowing audiences to choose one, or see both in one night with show times at 7pm and 9pm. Each play runs around 75mins with no intermission (as it should be).

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) continues its significant commitment to new play development under the co-leadership of Artistic Directors Vivienne Benesch and Andrew Borba with Signature Staged Readings of The Glow Overhead written by Nick Gandiello, and directed by Sherri Eden Barber, running August 3 - 5 as part of the 2016 season's New Play Workshop. The Glow Overhead plays on the Bratton Theater stage at the Chautauqua Institution.

Shattered Globe Theatre will conclude its 2016-17 Season with the Chicago premiere of Sarah Ruhl's FOR PETER PAN ON HER 70th BIRTHDAY, written for her mother Kathleen, a Chicago actress who played Peter Pan onstage as a teenager. Directed by Jessica Thebus, the production will feature Kathleen Ruhl, surrounded by the Shattered Globe Ensemble. FOR PETER PAN ON HER 70th BIRTHDAY will play April 6 - May 20, 2017 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.
