Reprise Theatre Company Features CABARET, BAKER'S WIFE, et al. in 2011-12 Season

Reprise Theatre Company's 2011-2012 season features two classic American musicals at UCLA's Freud Playhouse - "Cabaret" (September 13 to September 25, 2011), based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood, music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, Broadway production directed by Harold Prince; "The Baker's Wife" (February 14 to 26, 2012), with book by Joseph Stein and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, based on the film 'La Femme de Boulanger' by Marcel Pagnol and Jean Giono; and a third production to be announced, which will play April 17 to 29, 2012. Jason Alexander is the artistic director of Reprise Theatre Company.

With the anticipation of the holiday season steadily approaching, ABC Family launches the thirteenth year of its must see '25 Days of Christmas' event featuring over 200 hours of holiday-themed entertainment for the whole family from December 1-25 - the biggest cable programming event of the year. Viewers will celebrate the season with an all-new original movie, specials and, of course, the return of Christmas favorites during primetime as well as a full week of all day holiday programming from Saturday, December 18 - Saturday, December 25.

Michael Reidel reports in the New York Post today that Liev Schreiber and director Gregory Mosher, who collaborated on this past season's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, may be teaming up again on a revival of Jason Miller's THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON. According to Reidel, Mosher also has his eye on Brian Cox to co-star in the all-male production. The show could come to Broadway as early as next season.

The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre's 50th Anniversary Season opens on June 2nd with the Lyceum premiere of Mel Brooks' The Producers running through June 12. Winner of a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards in 2001 including Best Musical, this musical tells the story of a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer (Max Bialystock), played by Dana Snyder. Dana is returning to the Lyceum stage after a 16 year hiatus during which time he has appeared in many regional theatres from Austin to Cleveland. Mr. Snyder's television credits include Brothers and Sisters and ER. His voice over work includes Cartoon Network's Chowder, Nickelodeon's Penguins of Madagascar and Master Shake in Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Most recently, Dana has been touring the country in Adult Swim's Aqua Teen Hunger Force Live!
