Cygnet has snagged the rights to present the Southern California premiere of Jordan Harrison's Maple and Vine, a sensation last season Off-Broadway at New York's Playwrights Horizons. Maple and Vine is a comedy about a couple who have become allergic to their 21st century lives and decide to move into a closed-community of 1950s re-enactors who forsake their cell phones and sushi for poodle-skirts, milkmen and Tupperware parties. New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker have announced that following rave reviews and strong box office, What's It All About? Bacharach Reimagined, music by Burt Bacharach; lyrics by Hal David and others; musical arrangements by Kyle Riabko; conceived by Kyle Riabko and David Lane Seltzer; directed by Steven Hoggett, will extend four weeks through Sunday, February 2, at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. What's It All About? had originally been scheduled to run throughSunday, January 5, 2014.
The Desert Rose Playhouse, the Coachella Valley's live stage company serving the LGBT community, brings a little irreverant holiday merriment to Palm Springs as it presents Paul Rudnick's comedy The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told. The production opened November 15, 2013 for a five-week run closing on December 22, 2013. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told is the Paul Rudnick's re-imagination of the Old Testament - from a gay point of view.
Jennifer Barnhart - who made her Broadway debut in 2003 in the original cast of the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q - returns to the long-running hit at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.) starting with the Monday, November 11 performance at 8 pm. Ms. Barnhart will perform the roles she helped create over 10 years ago: as a Bad Idea Bear, kindergarten school principal Mrs. T, as well as her trademark 'second-hand' work with puppets Nicky and Trekkie Monster.

This handsome Broadway star of La Cage Aux Folles, Beauty and the Beast, Sunset Boulevard, Cats, and Starlight Express, to name just a few, will light up your night with his personable wit and leading man song stylings.
