MAD MEN's Bryan Batt Performs BATT ON A HOT TIN ROOF at ZACH Tonight

Bryan Batt, star of the hit television show Mad Men, will perform at ZACH Theatre in two shows of "Batt On A Hot Tin Roof" tonight, Sept. 10, as part of TOP Concerts at ZACH -a new and exciting musical series featuring top Broadway, film and television stars up close and personal.

ZACH Theatre - Austin's Theatre and Texas' longest running theatre, in its 80th anniversary season and second season in the new Topfer, presents: Bryan Batt is most recently known for his two-time Screen Actors Guild award-winning performance as "Salvatore Romano" in AMC's critically acclaimed series Mad Men, which has earned numerous Emmys, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild, and Peabody awards.

His show, "Batt On A Hot Tin Roof," includes pop hits by Bill Joel, show tunes by Jerry Herman, Cole Parter, and Maury Yeston. Batt describes the show as "a mixed bag of nuts that includes songs that I love and stories that I love."

As a handsome Broadway veteran, Batt's leading and principal roles include the 2005 revival of La Cage, Beauty and The Beast, Sunset Boulevard, Saturday Night Fever, The Scarlett Pimpernel, Cats, and Starlight Express. Batt originated the role of "Darius" in the New York and L.A. productions as well as the film adaptation of Paul Rudnick's Jeffrey.

The New Orleans native has also authored two books and is an accomplished interior designer. His most recently published book, "Big, Easy Style", was released last fall. Previously, he penned the touching and funny story of the bond between mother and son in "She Ain't Heavy, She's my Mother- a memoir."

A civic activist, Batt champions many causes including Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS, Habitat For Humanity, Second Harvest Food Bank, the Human Rights Campaign (Equality and Visibility Awards), the SPCA, The Preservation Resource Center, The Point Foundation, N.O. AIDS Task Force, and Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carré. He received the Visibility Award from Human Rights Campaign Fund Austin in 2011.

The concert is set for Tuesday, September 10. There will be two performances: 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. VIP tickets for the 9:30 p.m. show include a meet-and-greet with Batt. It all takes place in ZACH's intimate Kleberg Stage, 1421 West Riverside Drive (corner of Riverside Drive and South Lamar Blvd.)
