HAPPY SUNSHINE KUNG FU FLOWER will play their last show on Saturday October 25th, at 10:30 PM at the Zipper Factory Theater.

Called 'Shocking, Engaging, Funny, and Totally Original,' by Rachel Maddow of MSNBC's the Rachel Maddow Show, Happy Sunshine Kung Fu Flower is a multimedia socio-political satire centering on a group of outsourced Japanese Ninjas hired by China to infiltrate the American Psyche by taking on roles in the Media, Pop Culture, and Politics.

On July 26th, 2008, Hunter Bell, co-creator and co-star of Broadway's [title of show] was a featured special guest for Off Broadway's Happy Sunshine Kung Fu Flower. Also appearing was author, pundit, and Iraq veteran, First Lt. Paul Rieckhoff who's book critically acclaimed book Chasing Ghosts details his tour in the region. The final performance of The Fire Dept Theatre Company's At War: American Playwrights Respond to Iraq is Monday, February 4 at The Bleeker Street Theatre, with special guests, Bebe Neuwirth, Bobby Cannavale, Denis O'Hare and more.

The Fire Dept will present an expanded and updated version of its acclaimed At War: American Playwrights Respond to Iraq, an evening of alternately moving, haunting, and funny material by noted and emerging American playwrights, woven together to present a kaleidoscope of views on the war. Featuring a rotating repertory of celebrity hosts and guest performers including Bebe Neuwirth, Josh Hamilton, Bobby Cannavale, Derek Phillips, Daniel Sunjata and Fire Dept company members David Strathairn, Janeane Garofalo, Gloria Reuben and Tony Award winner Denis O'Hare.
