The professional conducting staff, led by Music Director, Symphony Conductor and RI Philharmonic Orchestra Member Alexey Shabalin, is committed to providing the best educational experience for each student.             All RIPYO ensembles rehearse once weekly at the RI Philharmonic's Carter Center for Music Education & Performance in East Providence from September through May and present three major performances. RIPYO Symphony members also perform side-by-side with RI Philharmonic musicians conducted by Music DirectorLarry Rachleff at a Friday night Amica Rush Hour concert once each year.

Birmingham Royal Ballet announces the 2016/2017 Birmingham Hippodrome season, the 27th season at its home theatre in the Midlands. The season will celebrate the Company's varied repertory, from the spectacular new The Tempest in the autumn through to the return of The Nutcracker for Christmas and Coppelia in the summer of 2017. Over the course of the season, the Company will perform four full-length classic ballets and a programme of shorter works to include the return of Michael Corder's Le Baiser de la fee, John Cranko's Pineapple Poll and a brand new ballet from Company member Ruth Brill called Arcadia.

Judges have been announced for the second biennial Theatre503 Playwriting Award, which is open from today for entries for a limited time period only (1st - 29th February 2016).

The Theatre503 Playwriting Award is back for its second year and will open for entries from 1st - 29th February 2016.

Veteran producer Pat Addiss (Buyer and Cellar, Love Letters) and Georganne Aldrich Heller (Howie the Rookie-Bam, Silent, Forgotten) president of Irish Theatre & Film Production (georgannealdricheller.com) have announced that they will join forces in presenting two invitation only, special staged readings of 'Loves of Picasso' written and directed by Terry D' Alfonso. The two readings will be held on October 9th at 2PM and 5pm at MOMA to coincide with museum's opening of the largest ever Picasso sculpture exhibit that same week. The script is based on the private life of Picasso, the women he loved and will include video installations conceived by Terry D' Alfonso.

Following their critically-acclaimed and diverse spring programme of new writing which included the much-lauded WINK and Sense of an Ending, Theatre503's autumn season stages four hugely diverse new plays. As well as supporting new writers, Jon Brittain is also welcomed back to Theatre503 after the success of Margaret Thatcher: Queen of Soho. Plus, back by popular demand, Sleeping Trees will mark the end of the season and their residency at Theatre503 with a festive treat.
