Dusk Dances proudly presents its 25th annual season, returning to Withrow Park this summer with another week of exquisite dance works from Canada's finest dance makers! Dusk Dances is a renowned and beloved outdoor dance festival presented at Withrow Park each August. Dusk Dances 2019 features some of Canada's top choreographers and dancers, including Hanna Kiel, Meredith Thompson, Mix Mix Dance Collective, Denise Fujiwara and Yuichiro Inouo, Pulga Muchochoma & Naishi Wang, in a diverse program of dance.

Actor, writer, and director Philip Paul Kelly (Elf the Musical, Ragtime on Ellis Island, Titanic the Musical) held the first reading (March 5, 2019) for his new rock musical 'Rockquiem for a Wrestler' at the Triad Theater, in New York City. This fast-moving and intense musical is a dramatic parody, inspired by the life of legendary wrestler, Ivan Kolo?, and features songs from veteran musicians, Eddie Star (JoyBox), and Paul Castrataro.

20 years ago, Indigenous Australian icon Jimmy Little released Messenger, an album paying tribute to great Australasian songwriters. Messenger launched Little into the consciousness of a whole new generation of fans, many of whom had not known that he was Australia's first Indigenous pop star on the back of hits like “Royal Telephone” in the early 1960s, or that he had a huge presence on Australia's country music scene. The album won the 1999 Best Adult Contemporary Album ARIA, and at the same time Jimmy was inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame.

Moon Over Buffalo, written by York native Ken Ludwig, will be produced in the Bon Ton Studio March 29-31 & April 4-7. Friday, Saturday and the second Thursday shows are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday shows are at 3:00 p.m.
