In recent years Grant has garnered much praise and attention for his creating the project Tilted Axes: Music for Mobile Electric Guitars, so the release of 'Fields Amaze...' was a way to (re)introduce listeners to the large body of work he has created for concert, dance, and theater. Well, it worked.

Richard Bean's new play Great Britain opened in the West End on September 26,following a sell-out run at the National Theatre. With a cast led by Lucy Punch andRobert Glenister, Nicholas Hytner's production now continues at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in a strictly limited season to 10 January 2015. Designs are by Tim Hatley, with video design by 59 Productions, lighting by Neil Austin, music by Grant Olding and sound by Paul Arditti.

AUGUST 24th is International sTRANGE mUSIC Day. It's a real holiday, yes it is. To celebrate, some of the NYC area's best and brightest composers and performers are getting together to have a very unserious session of music making. This as an opportunity to for them to share unusual sounds, unusual instrumentation, and unusual compositions rarely heard or new ones that will never be heard from again.
