Austin Film Festival Announces Josephson Entertainment Screenwriting Fellowship

Austin Film Festival (AFF) is thrilled to announce a partnership with acclaimed producer Barry Josephson to present the inaugural Josephson Entertainment Screenwriting Fellowship as an extension of its 2018 Script Competitions. This new opportunity will provide a one-on-one mentorship in Los Angeles for two fellows – one writer or writing team with a feature script and one writer or writing team with a teleplay pilot – selected from the Final Round of this year's competition. Fellows will be chosen based on the writers and scripts that imbue the most promise for development.

Felicity Huffman to Guest Star on GET SHORTY

Premium pay television network EPIX®, an MGM company, today announced that production is underway on its critically-acclaimed original series Get Shorty, with Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning and Academy Award®-nominated actress Felicity Huffman (Transamerica, Desperate Housewives) joining the cast as a recurring guest star. Huffman will play Clara Dillard, a mothering, high-level special agent for the FBI, described as hippie therapist meets J. Edgar Hoover.

EPIX Greenlights Third Season of Hit Spy Series BERLIN STATION

Premium TV network EPIX , an MGM company, announced today it has renewed its original spy drama BERLIN STATION for a third season. News of the renewal of the CIA-centric series comes on the heels of the second season finale, which aired Sunday, December 3 at 9 P.M. ET/PT on EPIX.

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival Announces 27th Season

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's 27th summer season will launch with the Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime and will feature three Shakespeare plays: the popular comedy Twelfth Night, the profound and lyrical history play King Richard II, and an actor-driven production of the spirited and bittersweet comedy All's Well That Ends Well. As the Festival continues its ambitious progression through the canon, King Richard II will be the 30th of Shakespeare's 38 plays PSF has produced. Rounding out the season will be the stage adaptation of the spectacular Shakespeare in Love, the most produced play in the nation this year following its run in London's West End.

William Donnelly's NO WAKE Makes NYC Premiere Tonight at 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters hosts the New York premiere of NO WAKE, written by William Donnelly and directed by Veronica Brady. Produced by Route 66 Theatre Company and Bella Vita Entertainment, NO WAKE plays a limited engagement through Sunday, October 15. Press Opening is tonight, October 4 at 7:30 PM.

The dark comedy from MGM Television, based in part on the 1990's bestselling Elmore Leonard novel of the same name and created for television by Davey Holmes (Shameless, In Treatment), will return in 2018 with 10 all-new episodes.
