Broadway legend Joel Grey (CABARET, WICKED) and Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein (FINDING NEVERLAND) were honored last night at this year's Fred and Adele Astaire Awards. The gala evening CELEBRATED the 2015 season's outstanding dance and choreography on Broadway and film. Winners included Leanne Cope for Best Female Dancer, Robert Fairchild and Tony Yazbeck (tie) for Best Male Dancer and Christopher Wheeldon and Joshua Bergasse (tie) for Best Choreography.  BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the red carpet below!

Staten Island Arts Opens Art Gallery/Artist Market at Ferry Terminal Today

Staten Island Arts, whose mission is to make the arts accessible to every member of the community and provide recognition and support for artistic achievement will be taking their operation to a highly visible, accessible location and adding a gallery, to be known as the Culture Lounge with a local artist retail space to be known as the Culture Lounge Artist Market, as it opens at the Staten Island Ferry.

The first set of presenters have been announced for the 32nd Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards which will be held on Monday, June 2 at 7:30pm at NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Set to present are Tony Award-winners Hal Prince & Bebe Neuwirth, Emmy Award-winner Valerie Harper, Scandal's Joe Morton, Dancing with the Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Sandy Duncan. On Monday, June 2 at 7:30pm at NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, the 32nd Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards will honor 5-time Tony Award nominee and 2-time Emmy Award-winning veteran choreographer Pat Birch with its Douglas Watt Lifetime Achievement Award and legendary dancer and dance instructor Luigi with the Outstanding Achievement in the Preservation of Musical Theatre Award. The Astaire Awards is the only awards show to honor excellence in dance and choreography on Broadway and in film and were first started in 1982 by the late Fred Astaire and the late Douglas Watt (a critic and writer for the NY Daily News and The New Yorker, his 100th birthday would be this year).

The 31st Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards took place last night, June 3 at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at New York University (566 LaGuardia Place). Winners included: Charlotte d'Amboise- PIPPIN (Outstanding Female Dancer in a Broadway Show), Eric Lajuan Summers- MOTOWN (Outstanding Male Dancer in a Broadway Show), Chet Walker- PIPPIN (Outstanding Choreographer of a Broadway Show), and Sidi Larbi Cherkaouit- Anna Karenina (Outstanding Choreographer in a Feature Film).
