Oregon Children's Theatre's Young Professionals Company Presents IN THE FOREST SHE GREW FANGS

Smart, dark, and bewitching, this bloody deconstruction of Red Riding Hood takes on werewolves, teen lust, and high school bullies. An intense, captivating piece, In the Forest She Grew Fangs will open the 2016-17 Young Professionals Company season on October 28th. The Young Professionals (YPs) are theater students ages 14 and up who seek advanced training with Oregon Children's Theatre (OCT) and produce three studio shows throughout the season.

BWW Review: Lost Nation's HAIRSPRAY is a Non-Stop Delight

Lost Nation Theater opened a high-energy production of the musical HAIRSPRAY last week at Montpelier's City Hall Arts Center. With music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, and book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, HAIRSPRAY opened on Broadway in 2002 and went on to win eight Tony Awards.

BANSHEE Star Matt Servitto to Host May Workshop in Columbia

'Banshee', 'Sopranos' and 'Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell' star Matt Servitto will host a two-night actor workshop and audience talkback at Columbia Association's Columbia Arts Center on Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4th from 6pm to 9pm. 

Kimmel Center Partners with Marian Anderson Award for Future Ceremonies

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce its new partnership with the Marian Anderson Award in which future Award ceremony events and galas will be done in partnership with the Kimmel Center. The announcement comes after 15 years of the Award Concert being held in the Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall and gala festivities on Commonwealth Plaza.

Alicia Irving to Lead Theatre NOW New York's CARRIE

Theatre NOW New York's production of CARRIE, The Musical will open on Halloween weekend and run Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm from October 30 to November 7 at the Irvington Town Hall Theater (85 Main St., Irvington NY).
