'Banshee', 'Sopranos' and 'Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell' star Matt Servitto will host a two-night actor workshop and audience talkback at Columbia Association's Columbia Arts Center today, May 3 and tomorrow, May 4th from 6pm to 9pm.

Actors Club and Studio Boh are proud to present a two-night acting workshop and intimate conversation with veteran New York actor, Matt Servitto. Best known for his role of FBI agent Dwight Harris on the HBO series, The Sopranos, Matt has also had roles in Sex and the City, Hitch, Enchanted, Brotherhood and more. He just wrapped his starring role on the critically acclaimed Cinemax series, Banshee and is currently starring in the Adult Swim series, Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, where he plays Satan. This is a rare opportunity to meet an actor with Matt's credentials as he make a personal visit to Maryland and shares his expertise.

Matt discusses his experiences in the industry, how to be confident and strong on camera, and what it takes to get ahead in today's market. In addition, participants can watch him work with actors on camera to help guide them towards a more realistic, believable performance.

The first night is a chance to get to know Matt Servitto, the man and the actor. Ask questions and hear first hand what it took to gain the success he has in his career. He will also work one on one with actors, see how they handle scripted material, give them adjustments to work on and then come back for a second night where Matt will re-work the scenes with the actors and discuss the results.

Actor's Club (www.facebook.com/ActorsClub) is a growing bi-weekly professional workshop where actors can hone their skills for auditions and regular work in the film industry. Every two weeks, members work on monologues and scenes while receiving professional coaching and feedback. Many members have appeared in speaking role in a variety of main stream productions both in Maryland and elsewhere, including projects such as VEEP, House of Cards, Game Change, The Wire and many others.

Originally created by Annapolis based actor/producer/photographer Ken Arnold, Actor's Studio and Arnold's photography and production company, Studio Boh, were formerly based in Baltimore's Broom Factory. Now the group has relocated to the Columbia Art Center in the Long Reach Village Center. Ken has a long list of professional film and television credits, including a starring role in the upcoming The Night Watchmen, directed by Mitch Altieri, also co-starring Matt Servitto. In addition the great support of the Art Center with excellent studio space, Columbia is a convenient central location that draws actors from Baltimore, Washington, DC and Virginia.

One of the co-organizers, Columbia resident Robert Neal Marshall who also an actor/filmmaker/Instructor, had also previously worked opposite Matt Servitto in an independent short film Faith. Marshall was formerly Casting Associate with famed Baltimore Casting Director Pat Moran. Robert was a proud member of the team with Pat Moran and Associates to win an Emmy Award in 2012 for casting Game Change, starring Julianne Moore and an Emmy Nomination for casting Season 1 of VEEP starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Another Actor's Club co-organizer is actor Dan Franko, who appeared in the noted role as the "Sneezer" in VEEP. Franko has appeared in other mainstream television, such as The Wire, and will appear in the new Columbia Film Festival as the sole star of a new short film The Recursion Theorum.

For interested attendees, there are two ways to attend the workshop:

One is full participation. Actors will get a short 2-3 page scene which they will work on during the workshop with Matt's guidance. It will be recorded on video for review. The cost for this is $225. Space for these slots are limited and almost sold out.

There are Observer spots available for non-actors just interested in enjoying Matt's conversation, or for those who would rather learn, yet not feel pressured to perform. The cost to observe is $75. Again, space is limited.
