The Mac-Haydn Theatre heads to a world of the timeless Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales colliding with wondrous splendor in Stephen Sondheim's "Into The Woods."

The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of The Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

The Tony Award winning book and score are enchanting and touching. The show is one of Sondheim's most popular, filled with lushly intricate music in songs that include "Children Will Listen, Giants In The Sky" and "Agony".

Back from 2015, Paul Wyatt (Mark in "Rent") is The Baker and Libby Bruno (Denise in "The Baker's Wife") will be his wife. Julia Mosby (Marian in "Music Man" in 2014) returns to play The Witch. Jamie Grayson, who was a hit as Man In Chair in last summer's "The Drowsy Chaperone", returns to play The Narrator.

Bridget Elise Yingling, cheered as Velma Kelly in "Chicago", plays Little Red Ridinghood. Audience favorite Gabe Belyeu, a delightfully roguish Alfie Doolittle in "My Fair Lady", will be The Wolf. Beatrice Crosbie, "Nice Work If You Can Get It" star as Billie Bendix, will be Rapunzel, and company members Stephen Millett and Amy Laviolette play Jack and Cinderella. John Saunders Directs, Josh D. Smith Music Directs, Kevin Gleason Set Designs and Jimm Halliday Costume Designs.

Rounding out the cast is, Erin Spears Ledford (MHT Company Member '05) as Cinderella's Stepmother, Meg Dooley (Mrs. Higgins in "My Fair Lady") as Jack's Mother, Emily Louise Franklin and Viveca Chow as Cinderella's Stepsisters, Conor Robert Fallon and Pat Moran as Rapunzel's Prince and Cinderella's Prince respectively, Andrew Jordan DeWitt, Kate Suppes, Chris Hendricks, Kelsey Woods, Lily Lewis, Matthew Blum and Daniel Klingenstein.
