Strawdog Theatre Company and Interim Artistic Director Hank Boland present a new adaption of Charles Dickens' classic Great Expectations, adapted by Gale Childs Daly and directed by Jason W. Gerace, beginning today, November 11 - December 14, at Strawdog Theatre, 3829 N. Broadway Street. Preview performance tickets are $15 with performances Friday, Nov. 1 and Nov. 8, Saturday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. There is a Preview Party, Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m., with $50 tickets that include access to a post-performance reception. Opening/Press night is Monday, Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. Industry night is Monday, Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Single Tickets are $28 and on sale now. Mercy Killers is the winner of a prestigious First Fringe Award from The Scotsman for best new writing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, receiving rave reviews calling the play, '…shattering' (The Stage) and '…theatre distilled to its most basic essentials' (The Scotsman). This will be the play's only Chicago stop before going to a six-week Off-Broadway run this January and February at the Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater in New York City.

Closing out the 29th Season, Paparelli will direct the previously announced, restored and revised version of the classic American rock musical Hair. Following the success of The Original Grease, Paparelli now teams up with Hair co-creator James Rado to restore original material from the 1968 off-Broadway production that hasn't been seen in 45 years.

American Theater Company (ATC) announces that the final performances for its critically-acclaimed revised version of columbinus, written by Stephen Karam and Artistic Director PJ Paparelli and directed by Paparelli, will be marked by a visit from Tom Mauser, the father of Columbine victim Daniel Mauser. Mauser will be attending the 2:00PM and 8:00PM performances on Saturday, April 6 and will also participate in a post-show talk-back with the cast of columbinus. Prior to Saturday evening's performance there will be a reception for Mauser co-hosted by ATC and the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence.

The production is now extended through Sunday, April 7, 2013 at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron St, Chicago, IL. columbinus has garnered rave critical reviews of its new third act, which premieres material devised from recent interviews with survivors of the Columbine High School Shootings, families of victims and residents of Littleton, Colorado. The new material includes never-before-released information on the shooters and their families and first-hand accounts of both the Columbine and Aurora shootings.
