THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, are thrilled to announce that the critically acclaimed, world premiere production of THE PLAY YOU WANT, written by Bernardo Cubría and directed by Michael John Garcés will have a three-week extension following its announced closing on April 24.

Yale Repertory Theatre to Present BETWEEN TWO KNEES

Yale Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2022 season with Between Two Knees. The play, written by the intertribal sketch comedy troupe The 1491s and directed by Eric Ting, is presented with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Between Two Knees will be performed May 12–June 4 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).
THE VAGRANT TRILOGY Extends at The Public Theater

The Public Theater will begin performances for the New York premiere of THE VAGRANT TRILOGY on Friday, April 8 with a Joseph Papp Free Performance, after the cancellation of the 2020 production just five days before the first performance and a two-year postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

NAATCO (National Asian American Theatre Company) is presenting the world premiere production of OUT OF TIME at The Public Theater. OUT OF TIME is written by Jaclyn Backhaus, Sam Chanse, Mia Chung, Naomi Iizuka, and Anna Ouyang Moench, Commissioned and Produced by NAATCO, and Conceived and Directed by Les Waters. This world premiere opened just last night and runs through Sunday, March 13.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), has announced that the Breakout Award will be awarded to Jon Rua. The SDCF Awards, which will feature the presentation of the Breakout Award along with the previously announced Gordon Davidson Award and Zelda Fichandler Award, will be hosted by Anne Kauffman virtually on Monday January 24, 2022 at 8pm ET.
