This Spring, Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre presents CANDIDA -- George Bernard Shaw's classic about a clergyman and his wife who captures the attention of a young poet -- with previews scheduled to begin February 24, prior to its official press opening on March 7 at the Irish Repertory Theatre in Manhattan. Tony and Oscar Award-winner Tony Walton, who helmed the Irish Repertory's acclaimed revivals of Shaw's THE DEVIL'S DISCIPLE and MAJOR BARBARA, will direct.

Two of Britain's most innovative and acclaimed performers will bring their very different styles to the Café Carlyle later this month. Beloved star of stage and screen, John Standing, will make his Café Carlyle debut with his one-man show, 'Performing Noël Coward' from February 23 through March 6. London singing sensation Barb Jungr is returning to the legendary venue with an all new show. 'River' will play six (6) performances only from February 25 to March 6, and will launch a new series of late-night shows designed to provide an attractive new entertainment option for the Café Carlyle's sophisticated clientele.

The Havok Theatre Company will present their production of the short-lived Broadway musical THE STORY OF MY LIFE, beginning February 26th. The show will begin previews on February 24th and will close April 4th. The two-man show will star Robert J. Townsend and Chad Borden.

Veteran actor and director Lionel Jeffries died on Friday in a nursing home in Dorset, South West England, at age 83. A spokeswoman for his agent said: 'We can confirm he passed away this morning following a long illness.'

Shakespeare Theatre Company Artistic Director Michael Kahn, praised by The Baltimore Sun for turning the Shakespeare Theatre Company 'into the closest thing this country has to Britain's Royal Shakespeare Company,' announces the Company's 2010-2011 season. The lineup includes Shakespeare's All's Well That Ends Well, Cymbeline (a debut performance of this Shakespeare play on STC's stages) and The Merchant of Venice. West Coast Premiere of THE MARRIAGE BED Set for Diversionary Theatre, 2/11-2/28

Diversionary Theatre will produce the West Coast premiere of Nona Shepphard's The Marriage Bed as the fourth show of their 2009-2010 season. In The Marriage Bed, Jeni loves Val and Val loves Jeni. But is that enough reason to get married, especially when you're not sure your girlfriend is over her ex, and one of you is not out to your family? Diversionary's production will be directed by Rosina Reynolds, and feature Dana Hooley and Dré Slaman. The show will run for three weeks from February 11-28.
