The 27th edition of the St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival has come to a close. This year's festival featured a bevy of poignant, entertaining and raucous shows.

Full casting is announced today for Ian Lindsay and Jeremy Cantwell's Chinese Whispers, which receives its world premiere at Greenwich Theatre from Thursday 13th to Sunday 23rd July 2017, with a press night on Friday 14th July.

Rising British stars Calvin Demba (Evening Standard Emerging Talent Award nominee, The Red Lion,  National Theatre), Sam Frenchum (Private Peaceful, Grantchester) and award-winning Sinead Matthews (Mrs Elvsted in Ivo van Hove's Hedda Gabler, National Theatre), are to star in the 50th anniversary production of Joe Orton's darkly comic masterpiece, LOOT.

For the second production in their 46th annual season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the fabulous and flamboyant musical La Cage Aux Folles, which boasts a book by Harvey Fierstein based on the play by Jean Poiret, and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. As a playwright, Fierstein is well-known for the musical Newsies and the current Broadway production of Kinky Boots; Herman is best known as the composer of Hello Dolly and Mame. While La Cage Aux Folles is a multiple Tony-Award winning musical and one of Broadway's all time greatest hits, the story is perhaps best known as the movie The Birdcage, which starred Robin Williams and Nathan Lane. 

The New Victory Theater announces its 22nd season as New York's premier performing arts venue entirely devoted to kids and families. From October 13, 2017 through June 17, 2018, The New Victory Theater will feature seven American companies amongst its 15 productions from around the globe, including three world premieres and five U.S. premieres.
