Stripped Scripts (with Executive Producer Greg Schaffert) will present the NYC Premiere of Kieron Barry's Tomorrow in the Battle, directed by Tana Sirois (The Last Eden with Dirt contained Theatre Company) at Theater 511 (511 West 54th Street between 10th and 11th Avenue), October 11-28 with performances Monday through Thursday at 7pm, Friday at 7pm & 10pm, and Saturday at 3pm & 7pm.

Book-It Repertory Theatre will open its 28th season with a stage adaptation of Dr. Maya Angelou's masterpiece I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. Founding Co-Artistic Director Myra Platt originally adapted and directed this piece for its 2003 world premiere at Book-It. Brazilian TV actress Paula Berwanger and Australian actress Isabel Kruse star as the lead ladies in AlphaNYC Theater Company's production of Oscar Wilde's classic the Importance of Being Earnest.

Peninsula Players Theatre, in conjunction with its production of "Lord Arthur Savile's Crime" will host scholar Christopher Chan, August 18 at 6:30 p.m for a pre-show seminar. Dr. Chan will speak on Oscar Wilde's life and works, including his short story which inspired the play. Tickets to performances are available, admission to the pre-show seminar is free.

The Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert opens its 2017-2018 season on August 25th with the spectacular Broadway musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The endearing Bible story tells the epic saga of Joseph, the favorite son of Jacob in the Book of Genesis. Joseph is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams and given a coat of many colors. Unfortunately, he is the object of severe envy to his brothers who plot to kill him, but end up selling him into slavery instead.
