MONKEY: JOURNEY TO THE WEST to Kick Off Lincoln Center Festival, 7/6; Music Lineup Announced!

Lincoln Center Festival, which runs from July 6 through 28, 2013 will unfold in six venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus. Music figures prominently in the 2013 Festival with international productions by an eclectic range of renowned composers, singers, musicians and directors. In addition to performances, a panel discussion on Lera Auerbach's opera, The Blind, is scheduled. A chronological listing follows.

High Fell Productions in association with Neil McPherson for the Finborough Theatre presents THE BLOOD IS STRONG by David Hutchison. Directed by Bruce Guthrie, the show is designed by Gabriella Slade with lighting by Humphrey McDermott and sound by Josh Richardson. Just announced, the cast will feature: Janet Amsden, Margaret-Ann Bain, Martin Buchan, Alistair Findlay, Neil McNulty and Steven Miller in this World Premiere.

Best Makes Directoral Debut With RSC's MACBETH, With Millson And Spiro

Shakespeare's classic exploration of ambition, guilt and destiny opens at the Globe on 22 June 2013, the third and final play in the Season of Plenty's trio of supernatural Shakespeares. The production features Joseph Millson and Samantha Spiro as the murderous couple at the heart of the play, with Billy Boyd as Banquo and Gawn Grainger as Duncan. Celebrated cabaret artist Bette Bourne will play the Porter.

According to the Daily Mail, Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical STEPHEN WARD is eyeing the Aldwych Theatre as its West End home, with hopes to begin rehearsals in October in time for November previews. Its said that Lloyd Webber is also considering two other theaters in case Top Hat, which is currently running at the Aldwych, doesn't close in time for STEPHEN WARD.

Harriet Thorpe Returns to WICKED as 'Madame Morrible' Today

WICKED, the record-breaking hit West End musical, will welcome back harriet thorpe to the role of 'Madame Morrible' from today 22 April until Saturday 16 November 2013. Louise Plowright has withdrawn from the role due to ill health and the entire company wish her a full and speedy recovery.

According to the Daily Mail, Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical STEPHEN WARD is still searching for a West End venue, with hopes to begin rehearsals in October in time for November previews. Lloyd Webber is looking for a mid-sized theatre; if the right one is not booked soon, the musical will be pushed back until late spring or early summer 2014.

Since 2004, there have been several other productions of The Hired Man; all of which have achieved similar resounding success. This Curve Theatre Leicester and Mercury Theatre Colchester Co-Production is no different and is nothing short of a masterpiece.
