So often, movies adapted from books are unable to navigate the pitfalls of translating introspective thoughts and first person narration on the page into tangible action on the screen. However, in GONE GIRL, author Gillian Flynn has effectively boiled down the very essence of her novel into a taut, enthralling script. Since no one knows this story better than Flynn, she was able to hand-pick the perfect elements from the Best Selling book to create a screenplay even more suspenseful and exhilarating than the source material, believe it or not.

The episode, 'Broadway Go Go,' centers around a talented aspiring actress named Jessica Carollo that works as an usher on Broadway. Jessica developed a television pilot called 'Obstructed View' about her unique experiences as a usher at 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.'

Described by friend, and co-creator of THE RESIDUALS, Michael Paul Smith as the 'Unofficial Mayor of Midtown,' James Tabeek has appeared on Broadway in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, TABOO, and MARY POPPINS, and on tour with WICKED. However, recently, James has been subtly moving his career away from the stage towards screens of all sizes. His first step in this new direction was in the first season of the hit webseries THE RESIDUALS. The comedy tells the tumultuous stories of actors auditioning for commercials. James plays Devan, the assistant to hot-headed casting director Mark Lyell (played by SUBMISSIONS ONLY's Mark Gessner).

Casting directors for series and movies for the kid- and family-targeted channels Disney Channel and Disney XD have begun a talent search throughout the greater Southern California area, visiting elementary, middle and high schools, performing arts schools and academies, dance studios and after school programs in search of new talent age 10-17. Led by casting directors Rosalinda Morales ('Bread and Roses,' 'La Misma Luna' aka 'Under The Same Moon') and Pauline O'con ('24'), the search is part of Disney Channel's and Disney XD's ongoing initiative to find, cast and develop diverse young actors, singers and dancers and provide them opportunities to showcase their talent across Disney platforms.
