An overflow crowd including many dignitaries from the political, scientific and artistic communities of Austria, the United States and Greece, came to the historic city hall, the Altes Rathaus in Vienna, Austria on Friday, November 4th, 2011 for the presentation of the George 'Best' Costacos Cultural and Cancer Research Foundation's awards.
George 'Best' Costacos Award 2010 presented to Ms. Marianna Vardinogianni, president of Foundation for the Child and Family and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for her philanthropic contributions.
The events in honor of the late Broadway actor/singer George 'Best' Costacos are continuing in his native Greece on the beautiful island of Aegina, where George was laid to rest last November. The first George 'Best' Costacos Memorial Marathon will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009.
