Theatre for a New Audience's THE FATHER and A DOLL'S HOUSE Begin Previews This May

Previews begin Sunday, May 1, at 7:30pm for Theatre for a New Audience's production of August Strindberg's The Father in a new version by Scottish author David Greig commissioned by Theatre for a New Audience and Tuesday, May 10, at 7:30pm for A Doll's House in an adaptation by Thornton Wilder not seen in New York since its Broadway premiere in 1937.  The plays, both directed by Arin Arbus, Associate Artistic Director of Theatre for a New Audience, feature Maggie Lacey as Nora in A Doll's House and as Laura in The Father and John Douglas Thompson as Thorwald in A Doll's House and the Captain in The Father.

Theatre for a New Audience has announced complete casting for A DOLL'S HOUSE, in an adaptation by Thornton Wilder not seen in New York since its Broadway premiere in 1937, and August Strindberg's THE FATHER, in a new version by Scottish author David Greig (Strindberg's Creditors at BAM) commissioned by Theatre for a New Audience.

FirstWorks to Close Frontier Series with Aurea Ensemble's CHROMATIC FANTASY

FirstWorks' 2015/16 Frontier Series concludes with the world premiere of an arresting new work by the Rhode Island-based Aurea Ensemble, a performance group with a superb string quartet at its heart. Aurea's 'CHROMATIC FANTASY: THE WORLD OF CIURLIONIS' will debut on Sunday, April 24 at 4 p.m. at the RISD Auditorium (7 Canal Walk, Providence River Greenway). Actors' Shakespeare Project continues its season-long exploration of 'Affairs of the Heart', examining the darker side of love as a catalyst for cruelty and redemption with Shakespeare's THE WINTER'S TALE. Directed by OBIE Award winner Melia Bensussen, ASP brings this story of heartbreak and emotional resurrection to Willet Hall at United Parish, 210 Harvard Street in Brookline, from tonight, December 10, 2015 to January 3, 2016.

Actors' Shakespeare Project Sets New Venues, Casts for 2015-16 Season

Actors' Shakespeare Project (ASP) today revealed new venues and  casting for the next two productions for the 2015/16 Season, Affairs of the Heart. The company's 12th season opened with the  tragedy in Othello, now playing until October 25 at The Modern Theatre at Suffolk University. Casting, Dates Set for Shakespeare & Company's 2015 Season; Launches May 22

Shakespeare & Company has finalized casting for its 38th performance season, and released a complete schedule of Opening Night dates. The announcement was made this week by Interim Artistic Directors Ariel Bock and Jonathan Croy, along with a positive report from Interim Managing Director Stephen D.
