The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer Natalie Douglas with yet another evening of her successful 'Tributes' series.  On Monday, April 9, she celebrated the music and magic of the one and only Ella Fitzgerald.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party, 'Birdland's star-studded, 'extreme' open mic/variety show' continues to dazzle packed houses at Birdland (315 West 44 Street, NYC) every Monday night starting at 9:30pm.

Tickets are now on sale for 'All the Way: The Music of Jimmy Van Heusen & Friends,' an extraordinary concert event to be produced by The Mabel Mercer Foundation on Friday, May 18th at 7:30 p.m. The special, one-time-only performance will be offered at Weill Recital Hall (part of the Carnegie Hall complex) at 154 West 57th Street.

Will & Anthony put their fresh take on Jazz Standards, 60's Hits, Broadway Classics to Pavarotti, Billy Joel and Adele…"The New Classics" is an unforgettable evening of music and laughs where everything sounds new and always feels familiar. 

On Monday, February 26, Birdland once again hosted Justin 'Squigs' Robertson as guest artist-in-residence at Jim Caruso's Cast Party.

Birdland will kick-off their great week of programming with Tierney Sutton Band, Nicolas King, Shelly Berg and David Finck, and more!

Jim Caruso, host of Jim Caruso's Cast Party has been throwing a party at Birdland every Monday night for the past fifteen years, and needless to say, the soirée has fallen on his birthday a handful of times. Like this Monday, February 5. Cast Party became his party, and dozens of showbiz pals came to serenade him.

"If nominations for the first couple of Palm Beach County music were held, vocalist Jill Switzer and multi-instrumentalist Rich Switzer would be near the top of the list of candidates," according to Florida Weekly.

This 2018 season, the talent performing at The RRazz Room at Mizner Park Cultural Center is a diverse mix of world class artists. There is truly something for all tastes at the intimate and comfortable venue, where audiences have the opportunity to enjoy their favorite artists up close and personal.  There is nothing quite like the connection between the performers and their audience in an intimate setting like that of The RRazz Room at Mizner Park Cultural Center. 

There have only been 9 Abbots in the history of the Friars Club starting with George M. Cohan who held the position from 1907-1932. Then came: George Jessel, Milton Berle, Mike Todd, Joe E. Lewis, Ed Sullivan, Frank Sinatra, Alan King, and the current Abbot Jerry Lewis. The actor, singer, director, philanthropist and comic legend who passed away this year was saluted and given a heartfelt curtain call by The Friars last night. The winning bidder at The New York Pops Silent Auction, whose proceeds help finance The Pops/Ed Programs of The New York Pops, got something way above the original listed value. The auction item was for one pianist to play at your private party. However not only did the pianist show up at the appointed time, he was joined by some of the world's greatest pianists and entertainers for the special evening.

The Mabel Mercer Foundation has announced that it will implement a special 'Rush' ticket policy for their 2017 Cabaret Convention, to be held at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, from Monday through Thursday, October 16th - 19th.

The Schimmel Center presents American Dance Spectacular! on Saturday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m., exploring the history of American popular dance throughout the 20th century, including the Charleston, Lindy hop, jitterbug, twist, voguing, and more. The performance is directed, co-written and created by Daniel C. Levine (Broadway's Les Mis rables, Chicago, and Mamma Mia!) with choreography by Al Blackstone (Fox's So You Think You Can Dance), music direction by Bryan Perri (Broadway's Wicked and Next to Normal), and book by Susan Batten (Lifetime's Showing Roots) together with six Broadway dancers backed by three vocalists and a live band.

On Monday, August 14, Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Birdland was the place for an enormous variety of musical talent, with Caruso hosting, Billy Stritch accompanying on the eighty-eights, and the Cast Party Symphony Orchestra (Steve Doyle on bass and Daniel Glass on drums). 

With its unique combination of the best of past and present popular song, the annual Cabaret Convention stands as a pivotal, highly-anticipated highlight of New York City's autumn music season.
