The classic Broadway musical Guys & Dolls is set to be revived in London next year in an immersive production from Tony and Olivier Award-winning director, Nicholas Hytner.

Joining Alex Jennings in Stephen Beresford’s The Southbury Child are Holly Atkins, Josh Finan, Jack Greenlees, Hermione Gulliford, Jo Herbert, Phoebe Nicholls, Racheal Ofori and Sarah Twomey.

A permanently single, professionally neurotic stand-up finally meets Mr Right and then does everything wrong.  But is Mr Right quite what he seems? And how far will the comedian go to get a laugh? Feeling Afraid… is a  bitingly honest comedy drama from the Olivier Award-winning producers of Fleabag and Baby Reindeer and  Fringe First winning producers of Baby Reindeer, Square Go and Angry Alan.  

The Greek National Opera will present four performances of a new production of Verdi's Rigoletto as part of the Athens Epidaurus Festival on June 2, 5, 8 and 11.

Nicholas Hytner can't quite sustain the verve of the first half of a play that says as much about the 21st century as it does the last

Simon Russell Beale will play the title role in Henrik Ibsen's John Gabriel Borkman in a new version by Lucinda Coxon at the Bridge Theatre.  Directed by Nicholas Hytner with set designs by Anna Fleischle and costume designs by Liam Bunster, John Gabriel Borkman will have its first performance on 24 September 2022 with opening night on 29 September 2022 with the run concluding on 26 November 2022.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards were held last night, Sunday, Feb. 27 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, and aired on TNT and TBS. Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett presented Helen Mirren with the 57th Life Achievement Award, which was preceded by a montage of some of her most iconic screen performances.

National Theatre Live broadcasts Ralph Fiennes in David Hare's new play Straight Line Crazy from the Bridge Theatre to cinemas worldwide, 26 May in the UK / Ireland, and 8 September internationally.

Joining Ralph Fiennes (Robert Moses) in the world premiere of David Hare’s Straight Line Crazy are Alisha Bailey (Mariah Heller), Samuel Barnett (Ariel Porter), David Bromley (Stamford Fergus), and more. Directed by Nicholas Hytner at The Bridge, performances are from 16 March – 18 June 2022 with opening night on 23 March 2022.

San Francisco Opera's 99th Season continues June 4–July 3 at the War Memorial Opera House. The 2022 Summer Season includes a new production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Don Giovanni; a return engagement of Bright Sheng and David Henry Hwang's Dream of the Red Chamber; and Caroline H. Hume Music Director Eun Sun Kim leads the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Chorus and soloists in a one-night-only concert featuring the music of Giuseppe Verdi.

Nicholas Hytner’s production of Philip Pullman’s The Book of Dust – La Belle Sauvage continues at The Bridge Theatre to 26 February 2022. 

My Theatre Mates announced that the Chichester Festival Theatre 60th anniversary season is underway. While a full season announcement won't come until February, the first two productions were announced: new plays by Kate Mosse and Alecky Blythe.

Three-time Olivier award-winning Alex Jennings will lead the cast in the world premiere of The Southbury Child, the new play by BAFTA winner Stephen Beresford.  Directed by Nicholas Hytner, the production will play at the Bridge Theatre next summer following an opening run at Chichester Festival Theatre.
