Cre8tive Works, Inc. ('Cre8tive') (OTCPINK:FILM) announces that legendary actress Nichelle Nichols has joined the cast of the independent film 'Behind Glass Walls'.

BBC AMERICA delves into the real history of science fiction with filmmakers, writers, actors and graphic artists looking back on their experiences and on how their obsession and imagination has taken them into the unknown. The new original documentary series is a BBC AMERICA and BBC Two co-production. The Real History of Science Fiction premieres Saturday, April 19, 10:00pm ET.

Heading into the annual SXSW festival, Starz Digital Media has snagged the rights to the film, To Be Takei. The documentary about pop-culture icon George Takei premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival and was directed by Jennifer M. Kroot (It Came from Kuchar). The company has acquired all rights for U.S. and Canada. The company will distribute with a theatrical release planned for 2014. The announcement was made today by Kevin Kasha, Head of Acquisitions for Starz.

“All For A Song,” is a new musical based on the life and career of Kansas City Jazz Legend Myra Taylor, who wrote such hits as “Spider and the Fly,””Take It Easy Greasy” and “Still Water.” She was also the first person to record the perennial classic “I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire,” with Harlan Leonard and His Rockets.

Notable science fiction writers David Gerrold, DC (Dorothy) Fontana and producer David C. Fein are attempting to make history by raising funds via Kickstarter to shoot and create their new science fiction adventure TV series 'The Star Wolf.' The producing team is using the unique crowd funding platform to pioneer their series into a reality and has set to raise $650,000 to finance their 'The Star Wolf,' and already have raised over $52,000 to date.

On December 7, 1979, STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE, was released in theaters. Released by Paramount picture, it was the first film based on STAR TREK, and a direct sequel to the television series of the same name.

On November 26, 1986, the science fiction blockbuster Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home was released by Paramount Pictures. It was the fourth feature film based on the Star Trek science fiction television series and completed the story arc begun in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and continued in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.
