Storms crash in and leave their marks, lovers are sought and lost and found again, ambitions jump the tracks and hopes get renewed, and in the swirl of these six stories, an umbrella is never, ever just an umbrella.

On Wednesday, March 30th, 2011 at 8 PM, The Timing of a Day, which had a critically acclaimed engagement at the recent NY International Fringe Festival, will hold a Benefit Performance and Gala in celebration of its 2011 Off-Off-Broadway extension at Center Stage, NY.
Bestselling author and American literary giant Joyce Carol Oates, who recently penned her 116th book A WIDOW'S STORY about the death of her husband of 47 years, has had her novella ZOMBIE adapted into a short film. Written by Bill Connington, and directed by Thomas Caruso, the 19 minute film will be screened at the Washington DC Independent Film Festival on Monday, March 7th at 7 pm. The screening will be held at the Gala Theatre, 3333 14th Street NW, Washington DC, 20010. Metro stop: Columbia Heights. Tickets are $10. ZOMBIE will be shown with the films SISSY and AMBER ROSE as part of a program entitled 'Hot Topics - Dirty Little Secrets.'
