Signature Theatre's OLD HATS $25 Tickets Now On Sale

Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) is pleased to announce that tickets go on sale and rehearsals began today for the world premiere of OLD HATS, created and performed by Tony Award winners Bill Irwin and David Shiner, with music by and featuring Nellie McKay, and directed by Tina Landau. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs February 12 through March 31, 2013, with a March 4 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Cheyenne Jackson, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and More Featured in ONE NIGHT STAND Film; Opens in Movie Theatres 1/30

Giving audiences an unbridled and candid look behind the scenes of the Broadway curtain, NCM(R) Fathom Events, Overnight Musicals and The Broadway League present 'One Night Stand: Creating a Play in a Day,' a unique one-night event broadcast to movie theaters nationwide on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. local time. This fast-paced, hilarious and entertaining film follows some of New York's top actors, including Cheyenne Jackson (30 Rock, Glee), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) and Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live), as well as teams of writers, composers and directors as they are given 24 hours to write, cast, compose, rehearse and perform four short musicals. At the end of the 24 hours, the musicals make their opening, and closing, night at New York City's Gramercy Theatre. The event will also present exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the stars of 'One Night Stand' as they share intimate stories of life on Broadway.

Bay Area Cabaret Announces 2012-2013 Season: Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley, Peter Gallagher and More

Bay Area Cabaret, the local non-profit organization devoted to presenting audiences with top performers who expand the definition of cabaret, has announced its lineup for the 2012-2013 season. Opening the season Sunday, October 28, 2012 is Motown legend and founding member of "Supremes," Mary Wilson, followed Sunday, November 11, 2012 by 9-time Tony Award winning singer/dancer/director/choreographer Tommy Tune, and December 9, 2012 by television, film, and Broadway star Peter Gallagher. The series continues in 2013 with "Broadway's golden couple," Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley on February 17, 2013, "Britain's first lady of musical theatre" Elaine Paige on March 1, 2013, and a performance by singer/actress Nellie McKay featuring San Francisco's Grammy-winning a capella male chorus Chanticleer on March 23, 2013. Rounding out the season is a tribute to the late Marvin Hamlisch, with special guests to be announced, on June 2, 2013, which would have been the legendary composer's 69th birthday, with special guests to be announced.
