Casting and directors have been announced for the eight new plays in development at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Playwrights Conference next month.

The Acting Company's (Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) 2016 John McDonald Salon Series will conclude with a reading of acclaimed writer Marcus Gardley's The House that Will Not Stand on Monday, May 16th at 7 PM at the Lynn Redgrave Theater at The Culture Project, 45 Bleecker Street (at Lafayette), New York, NY 10012. The Playwrights Realm, led by Founding Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing DirectorRoberta Pereira, presents the line up for INK'D, their annual festival of new plays. Running May 17-20 at 7pm, The Realm will present staged readings of new work by 2015-16 Writing Fellows Sam Chanse, Lauren Feldman, Jonathan Payne, and David Zax. In celebration of Women's History Month, Dr. Barbara Ann Teer's NATIONAL BLACK THEATRE will present a six (6) performance limited engagement of UN-TAMED: Hair Body Attitude. Created by The New Black Fest (TNBF) and guest-curated by Dominique Morisseau (author of NY TIMES CRITICS PICK Skeleton Crew and Sunset Baby), UN-TAMED is a collection of five (5) short plays by Black Women that explore and dig into the national conversation surrounding Black womanhood and social perceptions of Black femininity. This production will be co-directed by award winning directors Kaia Calhoun and Elizabeth Van Dyke.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that Pitbulls, written by Keith Josef Adkinsand directed by Leah Gardiner, will begin previews Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 8pm at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. Opening night is set for Thursday, November 20 at 8pm. Pitbulls plays through Saturday, December 13.
