Be More Chill is headed to the New York stage for its highly anticipated run Off-Broadway. The show comes with a hoard of fans ready to show their love for the cast and creatives. Cast member Lauren Marcus recently revealed her own personal journey, publicly announcing her diagnosis of alopecia, an auto-immune disease that causes hair loss.

The New York Lottery and McCann New York have teamed up to create a new ad showing that the odds of falling in love with a stranger on the street are even smaller than winning the lotto. The commercial, composed by Be More Chill's Joe Iconis, shows a young couple who meet crossing the street. They proceed to sing a romantic song about how great they are for each other before realizing they just don't have much in common.

One of this summer's most anticipated musicals, Be More Chill, has announced complete casting for the New York premiere production

BE MORE CHILL - the musical whose cult status and social media following have propelled it to chart-topping success and a long-awaited Off Broadway debut this summer - will be released on vinyl from Ghostlight Records on Friday, July 27. This release will coincide with the show's New York premiere production, which starts previews on Thursday, July 26. The show features music and lyrics by Joe Iconis, book by Joe Tracz, and is based on the novel by Ned Vizzini. Fans who pre-order through PledgeMusic will be the first to receive the vinyl double gatefold package, which features new illustrative designs, green and red colored discs, and a 16-page booklet with lyrics, production photos and a new liner note from Joe Iconis.

Ilana Levine sat down with Be More Chill composer Joe Iconis, producer Jennifer Ashley Tepper and co-stars Lauren Marcus and George Salazar this past Sunday afternoon at Subculture to discuss this summer's hotly anticipated off-Broadway musical. Little known facts were revealed about the upcoming off-Broadway production and the real side of what it is to pursue a career in the arts. After the talk, there was live performance of songs from the musical as well as a Q&A session. The afternoon was co-produced by Ilana Levine and John Zeitoun.

Broadway's Jason Tam joins the company of this summer's hotly anticipated musical Be More Chill. Assuming the role of 'The Squip,' Tam joins previously announced cast members from the 2015 Two River Theater production and original cast recording including Gerard Canonico (Spring Awakening, Groundhog Day) as Rich, Katlyn Carlson (Dirty Dancing, The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin) as Chloe, Stephanie Hsu (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Christine, Lauren Marcus (The Humans at St. Louis Rep, Company at Barrington Stage) as Brooke, and George Salazar (tick tick BOOM!, Godspell, The Lightning Thief) as Michael; as well as Will Roland (Dear Evan Hansen, The Black Suits) as Jeremy and Jason SweetTooth Williams (Freaky Friday, Benny and Joon, Bloodsong of Love) as Jeremy's Dad/Mr. Reyes.

On Friday June 8, the company of  Be More Chill hosts a special box office event. From 3:00 - 5:00PM, fans are invited to The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street, NYC) to buy their tickets and meet company members from this summer's hotly anticipated musical. Come and chill out with cast members including Katlyn Carlson, Lauren Marcus, Will Roland, George Salazar and Jason SweetTooth Williams, as well as composer/lyricist Joe Iconis and director Stephen Brackett. There will be opportunities for selfies with the company, fun giveaways and other surprises.

New Line Theatre, "the bad boy of musical theatre," announces its 28th season of adult, alternative musical theatre, including the world premiere of THE ZOMBIES OF PENZANCE, Gilbert & Sullivan's newly discovered, original 'operatic abomination,' in its first ever production, running Sept. 27-Oct. 20, 2018; followed by the 'family values' classic musical LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, running Feb. 28-March 23, 2019; and to close the season, the St. Louis premiere of the new sci-fi rock musical BE MORE CHILL, based on the bestselling novel, running May 30-June 22, 2019. All New Line's mainstage shows will be in the company's home, the Marcelle Theater, in the Grand Center Arts District.
