BWW Previews: BE MORE CHILL at Spotlight Theatre Manukau Performing Arts
Be More Chill is going to be produced by Manukau Performing Arts before it hits Off Broadway in July-September of this year.

Be More Chill, an energetic familiar-feeling new musical based on the young-adult novel by Ned Vizzini, updates the classic nerd-who-yearns-for-popularity story by adding a sci-fi twist. Jeremy Here, the skinny geek protagonist, becomes transformed into the inner sanctum of his high school's popular crowd when his persona is tweaked, or upgraded, as one of the songs announces, after he ingests a mysterious Japanese pill.
Is being the most popular guy in school worth the risk?
Heere was an average teenager until he finds out about "The Squip", a tiny supercomputer that promises to bring him what he desires most: a date with Christine, and an invite to THE party of the year his suburban New Jersey high school.
The cast line up is fabulous and personal favourite Bridie Dixon there playing Christine. This is a very good sign indeed. I've seen her in many shows and they've all been fabulous.
