Leeds Playhouse has announced that Gareth Snook will play Willy Wonka in its new production of Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY – THE MUSICAL presented in association with Neal Street Productions and Playful Productions. The show is set to premiere at Leeds Playhouse from 18 November 2022 – 28 January 2023, ahead of a major UK Tour.

Oscar and Tony winning director Sam Mendes will direct a new play that follows how actors Richard Burton and John Gielgud brought a production of Hamlet to Broadway in 1964 with  help from Elizabeth Taylor. Jack Thorne wrote the new play, titled The Motive & the Cue, which will reunite several creatives from The Lehman Trilogy.

The London return of the five-time Tony Award winning epic THE LEHMAN TRILOGY will play for a limited 17-week season at the Gillian Lynne Theatre from 24 January 2023, with an opening night set for 8 February.

Vicky Hawkins has been announced as the new Executive Director of Park Theatre, taking the reins from Rachael Williams who was in the role for five years. A Haringey resident, Vicky joins Park Theatre from the National Theatre where she was Head of Producing. 

The National Theatre and Cutting Edge Media Music have formed an exclusive partnership to develop and share the music in all the productions created by the National Theatre.

The four will join the previously announced Olivia Colman and Michael Ward in the new picture. In his first solo endeavor, Mendes wrote the screenplay for the new film and will produce with Pippa Harris. Mendes' production of The Lehman Trilogy is currently running on Broadway.

Leading theatre director, Jonathan Church CBE, has announced the appointment of Becky Barber as Executive Producer at Jonathan Church Theatre Productions (JCTP) – part of Trafalgar Entertainment. Becky will join the company on 17 January 2022 as the successor to Georgia Gatti.
