Producers Bob Boyett and The National Theatre of Great Britain have announced full casting for the upcoming Denver engagement of the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Play, War Horse. The company, comprised of more than 30 performers, includes Andrew Veenstra as Albert Narracott, Brian Keane as Arthur Narracott, Michael Wyatt Cox as Billy Narracott, Todd Cerveris as Ted Narracott, Colorado native Angela Reed as Rose Narracott, Jason Loughlin as Lieutenant James Nicholls, Jason Alan Carvell as Private Schnabel and Colorado native Mat Hostetler as Veterinary Officer Martin.

The Kennedy Center presents The National Theatre of Great Britain and Bob Boyett production of War Horse from tonight, October 23 to November 11, 2012 in the Kennedy Center Opera House.

The horror and humanity of WWI are brought vividly to life in the national tour of 'War Horse,' the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Play featuring the remarkable life-size, and life-like, horses of Handspring Puppet Company.

The 2011 Tony Award Winning Best Play War Horse is now touring the nation, and is in Durham this week. The play, based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, follows a young man named Albert as he enlists in the British army during World War I to find his beloved horse Joey, who was sold to the army by his father.

The Kennedy Center presents the National Theatre of Great Britain and Bob Boyett production of War Horse from October 23 to November 11, 2012 in the Kennedy Center Opera House. Winner of five 2011 Tony Awards® including Best Play and based on the beloved novel by Michael Morpurgo and adapted by Nick Stafford, the tour of War Horse is directed by Bijan Sheibani based on the original Tony Award®-winning direction by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, and presented in association with Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa. Michael Morpurgo's novel, War Horse, is also the inspiration for Steven Spielberg's feature film of the same name, which earned six Academy Award® nominations including Best Picture. Press night will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, August 4, 2012, Civic Center Members in Des Moines were treated to an exclusive visit from 'Joey,' the star of WAR HORSE. More than 125 were in line at 6 a.m. to take advantage of early purchasing and watched 'Joey' make several appearances to cheering crowds. Watch the videos below!
