In celebration of National Opera Week, The Atlanta Opera hosts its fourth annual 24-Hour Opera Project, a whirlwind creative science project where Verdi meets reality TV! Composers and lyricists, randomly paired together, are tasked with writing an opera in 12 hours. In the subsequent 12 hours, stage directors, singers and accompanists stage and rehearse the new piece. The Project culminates in a free showcase where judges and audience alike get to name the top piece.

The Community Theatre of Little Rock ends its 57th season with its Summer Musical 'Legally Blonde: The Musical' by Heather Hach, Laurence O'Keefe, and Nell Benjamin. Show dates are July 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th and 27th at 7:30 pm and July 14th, 21st and 28th at 2pm, to be held at The Public Theatre, located at 616 Center Street, next to Horn's Men's Store in downtown Little Rock. Today world renowned acid-jazz band Incognito & powerhouse vocalist Kelli Sae reunite, and together with Natalie Williams, Vanessa Haynes and Tony Momrelle launch disaster relief song 'Brighter Than The Sun' (Shanachie Entertainment) to support long-term disaster restoration efforts for victims of Hurricane Sandy and Typhoon Bopha.
