Songwriters Sam Carner and Derek Gregor return to 54 Below on June 2nd for a 9:30 concert of their songs from various upcoming projects.

The starry lineup is set for the encore of the 11th installment of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series: Broadway Sings Whitney Houston. A cast of 15 Broadway stars will sing completely new arrangements of the legendary diva's greatest hits, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations.

RISE BAR is seeking its next RISING STAR! Hosted by Broadway's Marty Thomas (Xanadu, The Secret Garden, Wicked), the RISING STAR competition begins Sunday March 6! The contestants will be competing in a 10 week elimination style contest for a $1000 cash prize and paid bookings at RISE Bar with their respective solo show. In addition to its cash and prize package, RISING STAR is offering networking opportunities with guest celebrity judges, fantastic exposure and valuable live stage experience. The winner will receive a headshot package by Claire Buffie photography. They will also receive a demo package provided by Yasuhiko Fukuoka. Competition judges Courtney Reed and Jelani Remy also donated generous prize packages from THE LION KING And ALADDIN on Broadway.

Broadway Star of HAMILTON, Andrew Chappelle (HAMILTON, MAMMA MIA!, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT) will hold an exclusive masterclass for local performers. Andrew will teach lucky participants a song and dance combo from HAMILTON as well as sharing tricks of the trade for auditioning for musical theatre productions. Enrollment in the master class is extremely limited. The class is also open to auditors who can observe and learn from the audience. The masterclass will conclude with a lively Q & A with Andrew where he will share his experiences in this historic, revolutionary and inspiring new American musical phenomenon! Audiences heard selections from some of their latest projects including Run Away Home, Talk To Me, The Boy Who Danced on Air, and their new slash fiction boy band pilot Truth Slash Fiction.
