Fresh off the triumphant run of Sunset Boulevard, NANCY ANDERSON will play the role of world-famous spiritual teacher Mama Sid in New York Musical Festival and 4M Productions' East Coast premiere of THE FOURTH MESSENGER, a contemporary Western re-imagining of the Buddha legend featuring a flawed, female Buddha figure, as part of the New York Musical Festival.

The production, which begins performances on Tuesday, July 18th at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street) includes book and lyrics by Tanya Shaffer and music and additional lyrics by Vienna Teng, and is directed by Broadway director Matt August (Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas: the Musical). Music Theatre Wichita opens its 2017 Season, "Hollywood to Broadway: A Summer Festival of Musical Theatre" with the 2002 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie, playing June 14-18 in the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS. The first of five locally produced Broadway-scale productions, Thoroughly Modern Millie launches the organization's 46th season, which is also the 30th season for producing artistic director Wayne Bryan.

Over thirty students rehearse the summer musical during a three-week camp with nationally recognized guest artists. Feather: A Musical Portrait, a new musical fusing art, music and film will have its New York premiere this summer as part of The New York Music Theatre Festival (NYMF), celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season. With a book by Jeremy Culver, music composed by Charleene Clossheyand featuring songs by Nick Everitt & Liesl Karlsson, this story of love and sacrifice will be presented in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Aves.). Directed by Mr. Culver, performances will begin on July 9th and continue through July 16th.
