An eclectic line-up of music and dance performances will be presented this fall throughout Los Angeles in conjunction with Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA, the Getty-led initiative exploring Latin American and Latino art that launched in mid-September.
The Latin Recording Academy announced today Lucecita Ben tez, Jo o Bosco, Ilan Chester, Victor Heredia, Los Del R o (Antonio Romero Monge and Rafael Ruiz Perdigones), Guadalupe Pineda, and Cuco Valoy will receive the this year's Lifetime Achievement Award.
This season ushers in a host of premieres by Boosey & Hawkes composers, including John Adams's new opera Girls of the Golden West in San Francisco, Sebastian Currier's RE-FORMATION in Minneapolis, Christopher Rouse's Berceuse Infinie in Baltimore, and a new orchestral work by Sean Shepherd in Boston.
Lincoln Center Out of Doors, one of the country's longest-running free outdoor summer festivals, opens this year on July 26 and runs through August 13. The 47th edition of the popular festival will fill the Lincoln Center campus with a diverse range of music, dance, spoken word, and family events, featuring dozens of artists from across the city, country, and world-all completely free and open to the public.
KCRW and the Annenberg Foundation are pleased to announce the lineup for the 2017 SOUND IN FOCUS series -- three, free, all-ages concerts held at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Century City. The series kicks-off on Saturday, July 15 with a headlining performance from Grammy-winning R&B artist Miguel, an opening set by Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzon-Montano, and DJ sets by Stretch Armstrong. The series continues on Saturday, July 22 with a headlining performance from the legendary Paul Oakenfold, opening sets by East L.A.-based troubadour Mondo Cozmo and L.A.'s Lo Moon, and DJ sets by KCRW's Jason Bentley.

The Getty announced today that Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA will go outside the walls of museums when it opens in September 2017, with partner institutions presenting concerts, performances and events at the Hollywood Bowl, The Music Center's Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and Walt Disney Concert Hall, Grand Park, and a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces throughout Los Angeles and the region.
