Irish Repertory Theatre Announces Extension of the Cell's CRACKSKULL ROW

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciaran O'Reilly, Producing Director) announced today an extension of the cell's (Nancy Manocherian, Founding Artistic Director and Kira Simring, Artistic Director) acclaimed production of CRACKSKULL ROW, by Honor Molloy. Directed by Kira Simring (Hard Times: An American Musical), CRACKSKULL ROW began previews on February 3, 2017 and officially opened February 10 at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) in the W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre. CRACKSKULL ROW will now run through March 26, 2017.

Tribeca New Music continues its 2017 Festival season with On Behalf. The phrase 'On Behalf,' drawn from an exchange between Killer Mike and Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, was used to inspire seven new works by composers Will Ayers, Andy Costello, Alexandra du Bois, Molly Joyce, Nate May, DJ Sparr, and Dorian Wallace.

Irish Arts Center, which projects a dynamic image of Ireland and Irish America for the 21st century, is pleased to present Voices Carry: A Celebration of Women Writing, December 6. Organized by author and playwright Honor Molloy and directed by Kira Simring, the event features Ms. Molloy and actors Gina Costigan, Angel Desai and Orlagh Cassidy in dramatic readings of 20th Century works spanning a variety of forms, including memoir, novels, poetry, drama, and radio. The Tribeca New Music 2016 Festival concludes its season with Tribeca Monster violinist Mary Rowell (a founding member of the string quartet ETHEL) celebrating some of her favorite new and recent works. Nancy Manocherian's the cell presents the World Premiere of SHOES & BAGGAGE, a one-woman musical about the 'high of the buy.' It is written and performed by Broadway veteran Cheryl Stern (La Cage Aux Folles, The Women) with music by Drama Desk nominee Tom Kochan (Almost, Maine). Directed by Joe Barros, previews begin tonight, May 5, at the cell with opening slated for Thursday, May 12. This limited engagement is produced on an Off-Broadway contract.
