Feinstein's/54 Below has announced additional casting for their concert presentation of the short-lived musical Shelter. Sally Ann Triplett (The Last Ship, Finding Neverland) and Jeff Kready (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Billy Elliot, Sunday in the Park With George) will join previously announced two-time Emmy Award-winner Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men).

The announcement of today's Tony Award nominations marks this as a week for celebration and reaffirms the commitment of organizations that protect the survival of the arts. For those organizations, like the Dramatists Guild Fund (DGF), that commitment likely means shouldering a larger burden of funding and support. Today's celebration also coincides with the launch of the latest installment of 'The Legacy Project: Volume III' from DGF, featuring one of Broadway's best known and loved composers/lyricists, Stephen Schwartz, chatting with Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home) about storytelling through song. The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, will honor its very own Producing Artistic Director James Morgan, on his 20th anniversary in that position with a Special Spring Concert 'Fun-Raiser' hosted by Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director at the Irish Repertory Theater, and award-winning lyricist/director Richard Maltby, Jr. The special concert evening, directed by Pamela Hunt (Berlin to Broadway) with music direction by Eric Svejcar (Marry Harry) and produced by Bill Castellino (Cagney), is set for Monday evening, April 17, 2017 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue).

Tony-, Grammy-, and Olivier-Award-winner Rick Elice (Jersey Boys, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Addams Family) was featured in an exclusive Q-and-A on Monday March 6, at a salon hosted by the Dramatists Guild Fund. The salon was led by DGF's President, Andrew Lippa.

MONDAY, JANUARY 23 at 7:00PM, the Tenants' Action Group (TAG) of 711 West End Avenue presents a special evening showcasing Upper West Side musical talent. All of the participating artists are present and former Upper West Side or 711 West End Avenue residents, who have collaborated to produce a program of repertoire with special meaning for their lives. The first half of the concert will feature classical selections performed by pianists Warren Jones, Margaret Kampmeier and Erika Nickrenz, cellist Sara Sant'Ambrogio, guitarist Andrew Schulman and former 711 West End Resident, flutist Eugenia Zukerman. The second half of the program is devoted to Broadway and cabaret with vocal selections from Britt Swanson Cryer, David Cryer, Gretchen Cryer, Nikki Renee Daniels, Anita Gillette, Jeff Kready, Quinn Lemley, Heather Mac Rae and Howard McGillin supported by pianist Nancy Ford and bassist Sean Smith. They will announce the program from the stage - along with the corresponding stories. Benefit tickets are priced at $75 (premium seating) and $50, and include a meet-the-artists' reception following the performance.

Actor, director, playwright and teacher, Austin Pendleton, and singer, actor, playwright, Barbara Bleier, concluded the run of their holiday show, "'Tis the Season To Be Morbid" last evening at Pangea, and they were as hilarious and touching as ever.
