UNBROKEN: PATH TO REDEMPTION has moved up its theatrical release date to Sept. 14, 2018. The film follows the second half of Laura Hillenbrand's New York Times best-selling book,Unbroken. It tells the inspiring and powerful Louis “Louie” Zamperini's post-World War II story and his struggle to find peace and forgiveness after his ruthless treatment as a Japanese prisoner of war. In theaters nationwide Sept. 14, 2018.
21st Century Fox announced today that its Senior Executive Vice President, Group General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Gerson Zweifach will step down following the close of the Company's transaction with The Walt Disney Company. Once the transaction is complete, anticipated in the first half of 2019, Mr. Zweifach will return to Williams & Connolly where he spent more than three decades prior to joining 21CF.
With only two weeks left, Telemundo is set to win the 2017-18 broadcast season and continue its winning-streak as the undisputed leader in Hispanic media. For a second season in a row, the network continues to make ratings history as it is on track to retain its lead as the #1 Spanish-language network in weekday 8-11pm prime among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, according to Nielsen. Telemundo ranked among the top five broadcast networks with NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX, during the season among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. John Legend, who this past weekend earned coveted EGOT status after winning an Emmy Award as a producer for “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert,” will serve as a coach on the upcoming spring cycle of NBC's four-time Emmy-winning musical competition series “The Voice.” Legend will be joined by returning music superstar coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and host Carson Daly.
AMC has cast Emmy®-nominated actor and producer Zachary Quinto ("Star Trek," "American Horror Story") and rising star Ashleigh Cummings ("The Goldfinch," "Hounds of Love") in the lead roles for its new supernatural horror series "NOS4A2" (working title). The network also announced Emmy®-nominated director Kari Skogland ("The Handmaid's Tale," "Sons of Liberty") will direct the first two episodes of the series based on Joe Hill's bestselling novel of the same name. Production began this week in Rhode Island. The 10 one-hour episodes are slated to premiere in 2019.

Amazon today announced that it has picked up binge-worthy thriller Absentia for a second season, to debut in 2019 exclusively on Prime Video in the U.S., as well as in select markets globally, including Australia, Austria, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Turkey and the U.K. Currently in production in Sofia, Bulgaria, Absentia was commissioned for Sony Pictures Television's international networks, is produced by Masha Productions and distributed by Sony Pictures Television.

Arrested as a teen and sentenced to life without parole, Wershe remains imprisoned 30 years later and is the subject of the Sony feature film White Boy Rick starring Matthew McConaughey.
IFC announced today the acquisition of three seasons of the British comedy Toast of London to begin airing in 2019 from Objective Fiction and all3media international. Created by Arthur Mathews and Matt Berry, the BAFTA award winning comedy stars Berry as Steven Toast, an eccentric, middle-aged actor with a sketchy past who spends more time dealing with his problems off stage than performing on it. Three seasons have been broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK, all written by Mathews and Berry.
The Los Angeles Philharmonic has commissioned award-winning media artist Refik Anadol to create unprecedented, breathtaking, three-dimensional projections onto the steel exterior of Walt Disney Concert Hall to signal the commencement of the LA Phil's 100-year anniversary celebrations. Free and open to the public, nightly performances are scheduled to occur every half hour, with the first performance at 7:30 p.m., and the last at 11:30 p.m., September 28 to October 6.
Sony Pictures Animation and Nelvana have announced the second-season renewal of the hit animated comedy Hotel Transylvania: The Series. Disney Channel in the U.S. and their global territories, and TELETOON Canada, a network owned by Nelvana parent company Corus Entertainment, are set to broadcast the new episodes.
