Following the release of Lauren Hoffman & The Secret Storm's debut album Family Ghost, the Virginia-based rock group return with a new single and video titled “A Friend Friend For The Apocalypse,”

Where is the line between torture and enhanced interrogation? Is this a question that should concern civilian citizens of a democracy that employs such techniques with enemy combatants? These issues will be considered when Dr. Robert Pallitto of Seton Hall University and Madelyn Hoffman of New Jersey Peace Action join Theater Project audiences to discuss the play GUARDIANS by Peter Morris. Talk-back sessions will follow each performance. The two character play GUARDIANS examines the motives of a male journalist and a female soldier involved in the Abu Ghraib torture scandals. Although the facility is now under Iraqi control, disturbing questions remain: Is "enhanced interrogation" ever justified? What are the unintended consequences on the system, the society and the individuals who carry it out?

Academy Award-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman will take part in a moderated conversation discussing his film and theater career with Orlando Shakespeare Theatre's artistic director, Jim Helsinger on April 10. The event will take place during PlayFest! The Harriett Lake Festival of New Plays which runs from April 2 to 11, 2010.

Weekend Movie Box Office Update: October 23 - October 25, 2009

Wide Eyed Productions will present a New York revival of Dale Wasserman's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at the Richmond-Shepard Theatre. Opening night is set for May 6th. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest premiered on Broadway in 1963. Revivals include an Off-Broadway production in 1971 and the Steppenwolf Theatre Company's 2001 Broadway staging starring Gary Sinise, which received a Tony Award for Best Play Revival.
