Following the release of Lauren Hoffman & The Secret Storm's debut album Family Ghost, the Virginia-based rock group return with a new single and video titled "A Friend Friend For The Apocalypse," premiering today with New Noise Magazine. Ignited by the recent current events, Hoffman comments: "Maybe it's not the end of the world, but these days everything seems upside down, there's a feeling of impending doom...but at the same time, we are all still living out our individual little stories and as all this is going down, I feel very much alive, excited about our future, turned on. That juxtaposition is where the song came from."

Available today on Spotify, iTunes, and Apple Music, the new single marks Lauren Hoffman & The Secret Storm's first release since their Family Ghost LP in January. Rich with atmospheric textures, the official video features band members and partygoers branded with messages of resistance.

Family Ghost is a multi-dimensional 11-track LP that uniquely blends dark and indie rock with a folk-leaning twist. A cathartic, powerful, and heart-bending collection of cabaret, broken ballads, and rock tunes, Joining Lauren Hoffman in her latest incarnation are Tony Lechmanski (guitar), Cathy Monnes (cello, violin), Jeff Diehm (bass), Ethan Lipscomb(keyboard), and Kevin Ardrey (drums). Combining the musical stylings of such a diverse group resulted in a remarkable sonic push-pull, with no two tracks sounding the same.
