REDCAT Presents Kaneza Schaal: JACK & This Month

REDCAT, CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts, presents JACK &, a new stage work by theater artist Kaneza Schaal (The Wooster School, Elevator Repair Service), Thursday, November 15 to Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 8:30 pm.

Innovative Performances Of Traditional Japanese Art Forms Featured In Borrowed Light: Innovation In Ancient Arts At The Nuyorican Poets Cafe

This November, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe presents two nights of performances that fuse traditional Japanese art forms with contemporary creative practices. A musician plucks sounds from the air using a laser interface combined with a 1,300-year-old instrument; a dancer melds the elegant movements of ancient warriors with ballet; and a calligrapher uses a centuries-old practice to reveal a new language hidden within our electronic communications.

Scottsdale Public Art Offers Sneak Peek Canal Convergence Launch Party, Today

This year, Scottsdale Public Art is giving art lovers a behind-the-scenes look at Canal Convergence, a free 10-day event from Nov. 9-18 featuring large-scale public art installations, artist talks and hands-on workshops. Ty Segall To Release 'Fanny' Vinyl Edition To Benefit Animal Rescue Organizations

Aagoo Records is proud to announce the release of 'Fanny', the new 7' single from prolific rocker Ty Segall. Lookingglass Theatre Company announces casting for the world premiere of The Steadfast Tin Soldier: A Christmas Pantomime, from the story by Hans Christian Andersen, conceived and directed by Ensemble Member Mary Zimmerman. 3Arts Awards Chicago Artists, $25,000 Cash Grants

3Arts, the Chicago-based nonprofit grantmaking organization, is honored to award 20 Chicago artists with unrestricted grants at the 11th annual 3Arts Awards Celebration, taking place tonight, November 5 at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The celebration will honor the ten annual 3Arts Awards recipients along with ten recipients of Make a Wave-an unprecedented artist-to-artist giving initiative.

Black Lunch Table Comes To The Staten Island Museum

John Mawurndjul: I am the old and the new opens at the Art Gallery of South Australia this week

The Art Gallery of South Australia's 2018 TARNANTHI opens to the public this Thursday 25 October. TARNANTHI is an annual event illuminates the diversity and depth of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art by alternately staging an expansive city-wide festival in one year and a focus exhibition the following year.
