Merrimack Repertory Theatre Summer Registration Now Open For Teens

Registration is now open for the MRT Young Company summer program, a professional theatre training program for high school students, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for three weeks, July 15 to August 2, in downtown Lowell. Nationally recognized creative producer, director, and performer Will Rogers will return to lead the program.

Hirshhorn To Revitalize Sculpture Garden For 21st Century

The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden announced March 11 that its board of trustees unanimously voted in favor of moving forward with a renovation and redesign of its Sculpture Garden for the first time since the 1980s. Over the past two years, the museum has been working to reimagine the space to improve the visitor experience and to provide a greater variety of programming.

NALAC Announces 43 Grants to Latinx Artists and Organizations

The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC) announced 43 NALAC Fund for the Arts grants today. Totaling $267,000, the awards provide funding to 26 Latinx artists and collectives and 17 Latinx arts organizations in 13 states and Puerto Rico.

Wynton Marsalis, Caryn and King Harris Will Be Honored at Music Institute Gala

The Music Institute of Chicago hosts its 2019 Anniversary Gala on Monday, May 20 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, 120 E. The Joffrey Academy of Dance Presents Four World Premieres

The Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet presents four world premieres in the culmination of Joffrey's national call for ALAANA (African, Latinx, Asian, Arab and Native American) artists to submit applications for the Joffrey Academy's Ninth Annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition. This year's Competition winners-Tommie-Waheed Evans, Marissa Osato, Xiang Xu and Edgar Zendejas-each have choreographed an original work created on the Joffrey Academy Trainees and Studio Company. Winning Works returns to the Museum of Contemporary Art's Edlis Neeson Theater (220 E. Chicago Avenue) for three performances, Saturday, March 9 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM and Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 PM. Tickets for Winning Works are $25 and now available for purchase at joffrey.org/winningworks.

American Scoreboard And Detroit Public Theatre Announce Performance of FOLLOW THE TRAIL OF DEAD RUSSIANS

Broadway producers and creators of American Scoreboard, an ongoing produced series that follows the Trump administration with selected verbatim readings of U.S. Senate and Congressional transcripts, Fran Kirmser and Christopher Burney, have teamed up with Detroit Public Theatre to bring the series to Detroit March 2 and 3 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD).
