Red Bull Arts Detroit is announcing a calendar of free public programming for the year, initiating new series of readings, screenings, and discussions to accompany the 2019 fellowship and residency cycle.
Registration is now open for the MRT Young Company summer program, a professional theatre training program for high school students, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for three weeks, July 15 to August 2, in downtown Lowell. Nationally recognized creative producer, director, and performer Will Rogers will return to lead the program.

The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden announced March 11 that its board of trustees unanimously voted in favor of moving forward with a renovation and redesign of its Sculpture Garden for the first time since the 1980s. Broadway producers and creators of American Scoreboard, an ongoing produced series that follows the Trump administration with selected verbatim readings of U.S. Senate and Congressional transcripts, Fran Kirmser and Christopher Burney, have teamed up with Detroit Public Theatre to bring the series to Detroit March 2 and 3 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD).
