Phillips' first solo museum exhibition in the United States, “Negation of the Universe” surveys his work of the past two decades and encompasses over 40 paintings, sculptures and films. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience the full scope of his exploration into political and social identity; consumerism; eroticized desire; and social constraints through multiple media in a single space.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles will present a new configuration of artist Jacob Hashimoto's installation Gas Giant from today, March 1 to June 8, 2014 at MOCA Pacific Design Center. This exhibition will be the first L.A. presentation of Gas Giant and will mark Hashimoto's first solo museum exhibition in California.
The Ware Center Art Series is pleased to introduce the drawings of Amy Ruffo in a special exhibition titled 'Amy Ruffo: Terrain.' The ensemble will bring their new program Conversations galantes to NYC for the first time, with performances at King Manor Museum (Jamaica, Queens) on March 14th (Manhattan) on March 15th.The program features French Rococo works by 18th century composers including Philidor, Guillemain, Rameau and others.
5BMF's season concludes in May with a presentation of the groundbreaking vocal ensemble ROOMFUL OF TEETH. Fresh off their 2014 Grammy win for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance, this genre-bending group will join us for a program of vocal works which showcase the ensemble's wide vocabulary of singing techniques. The program will feature works by Elliot Cole, Sarah Kirkland Snider, and Missy Mazzoli, as well as selections from Caroline Shaw's 2013 Pulitzer Prize winning Partita.
Regen Projects will present Selected Bodies of Work, an exhibition of new work by Los Angeles-based artist Walead Beshty. The show features a group of interrelated photographs, sculptures, ceramics, and collages that address bodies and labor as they are rendered visible in or on the art object. This is the artist's second solo presentation at the gallery.
American artist Dan Graham (born 1942, Urbana, Illinois) will create a site-specific installation atop The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden—the second in a new series of commissions for the outdoor site. The installation will comprise one of Graham's unique steel and glass pavilions—structures for which he has been renowned since the early 1980s—set within a specially engineered landscape designed in collaboration with Swiss landscape architect Günther Vogt (born 1957, Balzers, Liechtenstein). Constructed of hedge rows and curves of two-way mirrored glass, the pavilion will be both transparent and reflective, creating a changing and visually complex environment for visitors. The Roof Garden Commission: Dan Graham will be on view from April 29 through November 2, 2014 (weather permitting).

Brooklyn-based street artist Swoon will create a site-specific installation in the fifth-floor rotunda of the Brooklyn Museum. Swoon: Submerged Motherlands will transform the gallery into a fantastic landscape and immersive experience, and will be on view from April 11 through August 24, 2014.
