Photo Flash: First Look at LITTLE WOMEN at Lakewood Playhouse

The Lakewood Playhouse presents the second show of its 76th SEASON: "LITTLE WOMEN" by Lousia May Alcott. The play will be performed on Fridays, Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Performances will be November 7th - November 30th, 2014, with Special Showings at 8:00pm on Thursday, November 13th (Pay What You Can Night) and 8:00pm on Thursday, November 20th (Pay What You Can" Actor's Benefit). The Lakewood Playhouse will present the SECOND SHOW of our 76th SEASON: "LITTLE WOMEN" by Lousia May Alcott. The Play will be performed on Fridays, Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Michael Lawrence Named Executive Director of Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival

The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival Artistic Director Marya Martin announced the appointment of Michael Lawrence to the position of Executive Director. Mr. Lawrence, who for the past six and a half years has served as Director of Artistic Planning and Initiatives of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, begins his tenure on January 20, 2014. He succeeds Derek Delaney, who stepped down in November after serving in the position since 2007.

Four Emmy Awards for the 2012 TONY AWARDS SHOW

The Creative Arts Awards portion of the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place on September 15 in Los Angeles, and the June 2013 broadcast of the 67th Annual Tony Awards was honored with four Primetime Emmy Awards.

Film Society of Lincoln Center to Screen WATCH THAT MAN: DAVID BOWIE, MOVIE STAR, 8/2-8

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today a weeklong series focusing on David Bowie, the actor. 2013 has seen the re-emergence of the always fascinating musician, performer and artist with the release of a new album (“The Next Day”) and a sold-out museum exhibition in London (David Bowie Is). In honor of his genius for shape shifting, the Film Society will present Watch That Man: David Bowie, Movie Star (August 2-8), a retrospective of what is arguably his finest work on the big screen—plus two special rarities from the BBC archives, one of which has never been seen in the U.S.

But the 32nd annual Inge Festival in 2013 changes pace: honoring its namesake American icon William Inge, to celebrate the centennial of his birth. The William Inge Theatre Festival at Independence Community College takes place today, May 1-4 of 2013, in Inge's rural hometown of Independence, Kansas, where, annually, Broadway and Hollywood artists meet on the prairie to mingle with visitors from more than 24 states.

Howard County Arts Council's 2012 Rising Star Finalist Announced

The Howard County Arts Council, in its 31st year of service to the public of Howard County, presents the 15th Annual Celebration of the Arts in Howard County on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center, Howard Community College, Columbia, MD. Ken & Jaki Ulman will serve as Honorary Chairs.
