According to Variety, William H. Macy and Marisa Tomei are set to star in the upcoming legal thriller The Lincoln Lawyer. John Ramano's adaptation of Michael Connelly's book of the same title will be directed by Brad Furman. Macy and Tomei will be joining Matthew McConaughey, who has been attached to the film. Filming will begin in July, and the release date for the movie is still unknown.

Cygnet Theatre is proud to present the San Diego premiere staged-reading of acclaimed writer Stephen Metcalfe's Tragedy of the Commons. The cast will include Jim Winker, Manny Fernandes, Monique Gaffney, Francis Gercke, Veronica Murphy and Tim West and will be directed by Stephen Metcalfe. Tragedy of the Commons will be presented ONE NIGHT ONLY at Cygnet's Old Town Theatre on Monday, December 7th, 2009 at 7:30pm. According to a report in Variety, William H. Macy will team up with Sally Hawkins in Dirty Girl, a coming of age comedy about friendship and the search for identity set in the 1980s. The film is directed by Broadway performer and choreographer Abe Sylvia, who will be making his feature film directorial debut. The film is currently being shopped at the American Film Market.
