Next up in Kansas City Repertory Theatre's 2018/2019 season is the multiple award-winning and much-heralded production, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE written by Kate Hamill, directed by KCRep's recently-departed Associate Artistic Director, Marissa Wolf, and based on the novel by Jane Austen. Hamill's hilarious, gender-bending reimagining of arguably Austen's most beloved book, runs March 22 - April 14, 2019, at Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus.

This summer, Heritage Theatre Festival will be back to celebrate its 45th year with a season that explores concepts of connection and community from a variety of fascinating, entertaining, and engaging angles.

Theatre enthusiasts packed the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts last night to hear Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Executive Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley reveal the lineup for the company's 50th season, which launches this summer. Kelley's 50th and final season as Artistic Director of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley includes triumphant returns of TheatreWorks favorites, bold premieres developed at the company's annual New Works Festival, and celebrated works from the nation's leading playwrights.

Hudson Warehouse kicks off its 16th Season with their new adaptation of Jane Austen's classic PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. This high spirited, delightful stage adaptation is written by Hudson Warehouse's Executive Director Susane Lee.

Stephen Nachamie (She Loves Me) will direct an industry reading of the new musical Pride & Prejudice - the Musical, with book, music and lyrics by Lawrence Rush, on February 18th and 19th featuring DeLaney Westfall (Kinky Boots, Side Show, Sweeney Todd) as Elizabeth Bennet.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre presents its Girl Power Campaign for the last half of the 2018-2019 season, celebrating strong, powerful women everywhere. The remaining five plays are all written by women and about women and demonstrate the strength, intelligence, and bravery of women around the world.

MISS BENNET: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY is set in 1815, two years after the events of the novel takes place. The Bennet sisters gather for the holidays to reconnect and celebrate at Mr. and Mrs. Darcy's grand estate. However, this time it is the bookish middle sister, Mary, who takes center stage.

Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley invites audiences to experience the holidays through the eyes of the ever-scholastic Mary.

Main Street Theater brings back its holiday hit, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon.  MST Founder and Artistic Director Rebecca Greene Udden has long been a champion of Jane Austen's work, even adapting Pride and Prejudice for the stage herself, which the company produced in 1988 and 1996.  It seems only fitting, then, that MST would select Miss Bennet, the sequel to Pride and Prejudice, for its holiday offering. 

Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, a play set in the world of Jane Austen's 'Pride & Prejudice,' following Lizzie and Mr. Darcy's happy ending. With their romance confined to the pages of Austen's novel, the Darcys take a turn as supporting characters in this story that focuses on the Bennets' forgotten middle daughter, Mary.

Pioneer Theatre Company presents Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, a charming sequel to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The production runs from November 30 through December 15, 2018.

Jane Austen's classic novel PRIDE AND PREJUDICE will be on stage at Northern Kentucky University's School of the Arts, running Nov. 29-Dec. 9 at NKU's Corbett Theatre.

In an imagined sequel to Jane Austen's beloved Pride and Prejudice, the characters celebrate the Christmas season in Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley. Focusing on the often-overlooked Bennet sister, Mary, Miss Bennet is a romantic comedy that will appeal to Austen fans, as well as those who appreciate an underdog. When Mary comes to Pemberley to spend Christmas with her sisters, she finds herself entangled in a potential romance with Mr. Darcy's awkward cousin, Arthur de Bourgh.
