Broadway, television and film star Justin Guarini returns to Bucks County Playhouse when he joins Tony nominee Euan Morton, Barrymore winner Michele Ragusa and newcomer Aidan J. Lawrence at Bucks County Playhouse for 'Cake Off,' a new musical by Sheri Wilner, Julia Jordan and Adam Gwon. 'Cake Off', directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, will preview on August 19, with opening night August 20 and run through September 10, 2016.

The Royal Players end their 2015-16 season with its production of the classic Moss Hart-George S. Kaufman comedy 'You Can't Take It with You' August 11-14 and 18-21, at the Royal Theater in Benton.

Today in 1980, the first Broadway revival of Camelot opened at the New York State Theatre, where it ran for 56 performances. Camelot is a musical by Alan Jay Lerner (book and lyrics) and Frederick Loewe (music). It is based on the King Arthur legend as adapted from the T. H. White tetralogy novel The Once and Future King. The original 1960 production, directed by Moss Hart and orchestrated by Robert Russell Bennett and Philip J. Lang, ran on Broadway for 873 performances, winning four Tony Awards and spawning several revivals, foreign productions and a 1967 film version. The 1980 cast starred Richard Burton, Christine Ebersole, and Richard Muenz.

Queens Theatre is partnering with Lincoln Center Education to present free outdoor screenings of some of the most impactful Lincoln Center performances of these past 2 years. The screenings will take place every Friday from July 29 to August 19 at 8pm in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on the Festival Lawn right behind Queens Theatre.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston opens its 48th consecutive summer season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's masterpiece CAROUSEL, today, June 9, 2016. CAROUSEL will run for eight performances at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452).

Tickets for the event went on sale at noon today, May 25th, and according to the event's official web site, they have now sold out!

Annaleigh Ashford and her husband, actor Joe Tapper will welcome their first child, a son, in early September.

It has just been confirmed that Kaufman's daughter Anne will attend and chat about the history of the show after the reading.

For Strawdog Theatre Company's final production in its Broadway home, the company fittingly presents George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart's 1930 comedy ONCE IN A LIFETIME-both play and production are rife with charm and sly winks to the audience. Director Damon Kiely's choice to stage this particular Kaufman and Hart comedy is also an intriguing one. ONCE IN A LIFETIME chiefly concerns itself with the changes to the entertainment industry after the appearance of the first 'talkie' (a film with spoken dialogue) and a frantic trio of three former vaudeville performers-May, George, and Jerry-who scramble to Hollywood hoping to strike it rich. And just as Jerry contemplates what these new 'talkies' will mean for the future of the 'legitimate stage,' so too do we now find ourselves on the precipice of immense change for the film and entertainment industry.
