The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program presentation of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

The new Gustafer Yellowgold album Brighter Side is out TODAY 9/8 and introduces the character Baconstein, Gustafer's new nemesis. Baconstein serves as a reminder that Earth (like the sun) can have its own hazards, personalities and egos to navigate when the previously known nemesis (and fan favorite) Cakenstein creates a partner in crime to seek revenge on him.

Gustafer Yellowgold is bringing all-ages alternative shows to Long Island Children's Museum this Today and Wednesday, July 11 & 12.

The University Dramatic Society, based at the University of Western Australia has now been running for 100 years. Entirely run by young people pursuing their creative talents along with a busy student life, the original musical 'Hotel Halicarno' will be the first production in the society's Centenary Year.

The Garden State Film Festival will welcome celebrities, filmmakers and fans to Atlantic City, from Thursday, March 30th through Sunday, April 2nd at Resorts Casino Hotel for the Festival's 15th Anniversary Celebration.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater (Orlando Shakes) in Partnership with UCF will hold its 9th Annual John R. Hamilton Mock Trial on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center. This year's trial will be the Senate Confirmation Hearing of Ferdinand, the King of Navarre (from Love's Labour's Lost) for the post of Secretary of Labour. The Margeson Theater will transform into an interactive courtroom as actors from the show improv their way through the trial amidst a panel of celebrity judges. Grammy-nominated illustrator and songwriter Morgan Taylor brings the whimsical animations and contagious melodies of Gustafer Yellowgold to the Jewish Museum for a family performance on Sunday, October 16 at 11:30 am.  Taylor combines live images and music in what The New York Times calls 'a cross between Yellow Submarine and Dr. Seuss.' The program features tunes about the Earth, the Sun and nature in celebration of the holiday of Sukkot.

The Jewish Museum launches its fall 2016 season of family programs in September with a lively array of concerts, art workshops, and more.  The line-up includes Sunday concerts by The FunkeyMonkeys on September 25, Josh and the Jamtones on October 9, Gustafer Yellowgold on October 16, Alex & the Kaleidoscope on November 20, and Oran Etkin on December 25.  Also on the schedule are: the annual Hanukkah Family Day on December 18; holiday and vacation week drop-in art workshops October 20 and 21 and December 26, 27, 29 & 30; and family art activities every Sunday starting September 11.
